Perpetuity

All that God creates exists in perfection and perpetuity. In "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" Mrs. Eddy writes (p. 280), "God, the Soul of man and of all existence, being perpetual in His own individuality, harmony, and immortality, imparts and perpetuates these qualities in man,—through Mind, not matter." Material sense cannot touch the intelligence and health, the joy and power, which divine Mind perpetuates in man.

In the first book of Kings it is recorded that this divine message reached Solomon as the builder of God's temple: "I have hallowed this house, which thou hast built, to put my name there for ever; and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually."

In its spiritual significance "house," we learn in Christian Science, means man's abiding sense of Love's omnipresence. Separation from infinite Love is never anything but a supposition, a suggestion of mortal mind, and to be dismissed as such. Likewise, mental darkness, discouragement, disease, and sorrow are suggestions, never facts. Even as the human sense of time has no place in eternity, so has evil no occupancy in the perpetuity of spiritual perfection.
