The Narrow Way

Step by step my Father leads me
Straight along the narrow way;
He will guide me safely onward,
Truth unfolding every day.

Should I stumble or grow weary,
On His loving arm I'll rest,
Knowing that His tender mercy
Keeps me in the way that's best,

Waits for me to trust Him fully
To perform His promise sure,
And go on with Love's unfolding,
With a vision still more pure.

In His love and in His mercy
Thus I go from day to day;
Ever with His own dear presence
Straight along the narrow way.
