Liberation
'Twas
not for greater wealth, nor greater power,
That Thou, dear God, didst bring us to this hour:
To serve Thee more, to do and work Thy will,
Forgo all thought of self, to mount the hill
Leading to Thee, leaving the world behind,
Freeing our thoughts of all dark things that bind
And shackle—till we rise and stand, sense free,
Upon the mountaintops, at peace with Thee!
