There is nothing dogmatic in the teaching of Christian Science, which insists upon a demonstrable understanding of the truths taught by Christ Jesus, instead of upon belief. This understanding is followed by such proofs as our Master himself gave. He said, "Wherefore, by their fruits ye shall know them."

May I quote these words used by Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, in her textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 342): "The hour has struck when proof and demonstration, instead of opinion and dogma, are summoned to the support of Christianity, 'making wise the simple.'"
