About six years ago Christian Science came to me in the darkest years of my life. I was suffering from heart trouble, which the doctors thought was caused by a goiter. After the best of medical aid had failed, I turned to God and He lifted me from that bed of affliction and healed me.

The doctors had said that I must have an operation, and they sent me to the hospital. They treated me for a while, and then decided that I could not live through the operation and sent me home. When I got home a doctor was called, and he told my husband that I could not live an hour. That was my condition when Christian Science came to me. We called a practitioner. Treatment was lovingly given, and in a few days I was sitting up, and continued to improve until completely healed.

I have been wonderfully protected from smallpox. At a time when I was in a run-down condition, my brother who was sick came to our house. The doctor pronounced his trouble smallpox. He said I would have it, too; but, as I had learned to do in Christian Science, I declared the truth and knew that there was nothing to have except what God gave me. My husband, my little nephew, and I were all protected, and we are very grateful.
