In gratitude to God for revealing to Mary Baker Eddy Christian Science, which has made available to all the Christ, Truth, which heals sickness, sorrow, and sin, I gratefully give my testimony.

Having been in bondage to the excessive use of tobacco for years, and having many times tried to overcome this false appetite through human will, I finally tried medical aid. This gave me no relief, but seemed to fasten the appetite more strongly upon me. At this time I was engaged in the manufacture of tobacco products, and it seemed as if there were no help for me.

After a severe attack of fear, caused by the excessive use of tobacco, I felt that I was near death. I knew then that I must find a way out immediately or it would be too late. My family had received help from Christian Science, and in my hour of need the thought of it gave me hope. I felt certain that God would deliver me from this bondage. I called on a Christian Science practitioner, and the work of redemption commenced. After a long period of working and studying, in a sincere effort to free myself, I had an opportunity to sell my interest in this business. I greatly rejoiced in this healing, which also destroyed all desire for tobacco.
