Solving Problems
The problems which confront mankind are so numerous, and at times so perplexing and burdensome, that it may sometimes seem that there is no possibility of relief, and that some problems are unsolvable. Now this is not true. There never was and never will be a human problem for which there is no solution. The truth is that for every problem, irrespective of its nature, right solution is available.
Paul writes, "God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it." A definition of the word "tempt" is "test." With this in view we can see that the problems which come to us for solution are but tests of our understanding and loyalty; and if we accept the Scriptural passage quoted above, we can tackle our problems with the assurance that we have the ability to solve them through the power of divine Mind.
We soon learn this through being ready and willing to turn away from matter and material ways and means, and look to God and His laws for the solution of our difficulties. It has been established, beyond the possibility of successful contradiction, that a willingness to drop material means of healing and accept the healing method of Christ Jesus, as taught in Christian Science, has resulted in the healing of thousands of cases of both so-called chronic and acute diseases, in many instances pronounced incurable by physicians. In like manner the willingness to put aside selfish aims and human will, and accept the will of divine Love, ensures the correction of any and every wrong habit, false desire, or sin. Willingness to accept and use with childlike faith the abundance of God's goodness, brings to light the harmonious condition of the real man, whose every need is abundantly supplied.
