Because Christian Science means so much to me I wish to express gratitude through the literature, from which I have received so much help.

My first healing was of grief at the time my mother passed on. However, I did not take up the study of Christian Science then, but later, when a spinal trouble for which I had previously been operated on, returned. I was glad to study, for I not only suffered constant pain but was greatly annoyed by the bandage I had to wear. I began to read the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, and to study the Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly. One day my wife asked me what I was doing with the used bandages. And then I realized I was not wearing any, and I could not tell when I had stopped putting them on. That was over twenty years ago and was the last of that trouble.

I have had many other healings which took longer, but I am grateful to the practitioners for their loving help. I am also grateful for membership in The Mother Church, for activity in a branch church, and for class instruction.
