It is indeed with a very grateful heart that I wish to express my gratitude to God and to Christian Science. About seven years ago I had a wonderful healing of tuberculosis. Before this I had lost my twin sister and my father through tuberculosis, and I was very nearly in a condition to follow. No doctor could do anything for me.

At this time I had never heard of Christian Science, and had become so tired of life that I asked God to take me out of it. I then wrote to a dear sister, who, I afterwards learned, knew of Christian Science. She wrote by return mail to say that she was going to London, and asked me to stay with her, as my home was gone. There I was taken to see a Christian Scientist, and when I was left alone with her, she asked if I should like her to help me. I said: "I have a very bad leg. If you can do anything for me I should be very glad." I asked her what I was to do. She said in such a quiet voice, "Go home and talk to God." I had already asked God to take me away, but now I changed my thought and asked Him to help me. From that moment I felt a load lifted, and I went to bed and had a normal sleep, and awoke the next morning entirely healed.

I should like to mention two other healings briefly. I had an accident, and, as the wounds turned septic, was taken to one of the Christian Science Houses. Through the splendid work of a practitioner and the great care and loving thoughts which surrounded me in this house, which I shall ever remember, within ten days I could walk about and healed. More recently I again visited this Christian Science House, suffering from internal ulceration and trouble with my eyes. I received the same kind help and loving care, and quickly had a wonderful healing.
