A few years ago I dislocated my spinal vertebrae through lifting a heavy load. My mother was greatly concerned, for once before in our family the same situation had brought about severe suffering and bad results. At that time I was beginning to be earnestly interested in Christian Science. I borrowed the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and read it twice from beginning to end. Although I did not understand much of what I read, the logic of this book convinced me at once. The knowledge that in this book I had found the explanation of Biblical texts, explanation for which I had vainly longed for many years, filled me with such a great feeling of happiness that there was room for nothing else.

When my mother examined my back one day, she found to her amazement that the vertebrae were in their right place and that I was completely free from this ailment.

Today I can say with all my heart that I am thankful for this first proof of the divine healing power; for all the blessings which Mrs. Eddy brought into the world through her rediscovery of primitive Christianity; for all the wise provisions which she made.
