For over twenty one years I have had the inspiring privilege of studying and learning to apply the teachings of Christian Science. When this Christly method of healing all manner of disease and every type of human difficulty completely restored our little daughter to health after a long and distressing series of illnesses, upon which the earnest efforts of doctors and specialists had had no appreciable effect, I realized that the long unused healing method of Christ Jesus and his early followers had again been made available to mankind. Like Moses, I felt that I stood upon "holy ground," and rejoiced in increasing health and happiness.

Some years later, however, a serious and baffling illness prostrated me. This difficulty did not seem to yield to Christian Science treatment until match earnest work had been done by the practitioner, who stood by with clear and confident understanding, and by the Christian Science nurse, as well as the members of my family, who were unfailing in their love and expectancy of good.

Since that experience I have had increasing joy in the study of Christian Science and an ever growing appreciation of the beneficent and compassionate work of its Discoverer and Founder, Mary Baker Eddy. I have seen so many ills, so much suffering and heartache, healed and silenced by the quiet, certain ministrations of Christian Science, that a song of humble gratitude is always in my heart for this present day Comforter.
