Spiritual Understanding

Christian Scientists are aware that in the Bible may be found the solution of all problems and difficulties. It is its spiritual interpretation which makes possible the practical application of its truths.

Many great men and women have embodied their ideals in books for the benefit of mankind, hoping thus to enable others to share and use these treasures for themselves. But words alone are unable to plant in the hearts of men the higher spiritual ideals, or to make them take root there.

The Book which in every respect has offered resistance to the human belief of time, and to all possible so-called destructive influences, the Bible, has given overwhelming evidence that it is inspired. In superb language the Scriptures give the stories of patriarchs, prophets, apostles, and above all the words and works of Christ Jesus.
