I am indeed grateful for Christian Science

I am indeed grateful for Christian Science. In the more than sixteen years that I have been a student of this Science, it has, when rightly applied, met my every need.

My first healing occurred many years ago, when I was quite new in Science, and it was brought about through the understanding and consecrated efforts of a practitioner. This healing was of inflammatory rheumatism combined with influenza. The physicians who were called early in the case said I also had a bad leakage of the heart. After a few weeks' doctoring they told my wife there was no hope for me, that I might linger along for a month or two, but I might go any minute. At this time all drugs were discarded. A Christian Science practitioner was called, and the case was turned over to her. In a few weeks I was able to dress myself and be about. In just two weeks after getting up I was able to go to work. This healing occurred fifteen years ago, and there has never been a return of the slightest symptoms of either complaint.

In the years that have followed I have had many other healings, some through my own study and application of the truth, as taught in Christian Science; at other times, when I had to have help, the difficulties were readily overcome when a practitioner's aid was lovingly given. I am so grateful for the practitioners, for the lectures, and for every activity of the Christian Science movement.
