It is with sincere gratitude and humility for the abundance...
It is with sincere gratitude and humility for the abundance of good that has come into my life through the study of Christian Science that I give this testimony.
Four years ago, through reading the testimonies of healing and the religious articles in the Christian Science periodicals, especially the Journal and Sentinel, I was led to take my stand for God and to put my whole trust in Him. As a result I was completely and permanently healed in a few treatments of an illness of about three years' standing, for which the physician could not promise any permanent relief without a prolonged series of medical treatments.
I shall never forget the joy and freedom and new hope I experienced from my first Christian Science treatment. During the following three months I gained in weight from ninety-five to one hundred and thirty pounds. Needless to say, I never returned to the doctor for medical treatment. I did, however, submit to a physical examination to prove to a member of my family that the healing was complete. It was indeed a great source of joy both for this loved one, and also for the physician, when he was able to pronounce me normal in health and free from this former illness.
