It is with love and gratitude to God for all His goodness...

It is with love and gratitude to God for all His goodness and for Christian Science that I send this testimony for the Field. Early in 1936 I experienced a beautiful healing of what I understand to be a gall-bladder attack. As the difficulty persisted and was very painful, I telephoned to a practitioner for help, which was given immediately. Later in the day she called on me. I shall never forget how gently, lovingly, and logically she talked and reasoned, so that I too was able to see pain as only a carnal mind belief and therefore nothing but an illusion. As there is one Mind only, and I reflect that one and only Mind. I could not be conscious of or suffer or believe in a mesmeric condition. And by seeing this condition as quite outside of myself and as nothing, I was very soon quite free from pain and discomfort. There has been no return of this trouble.

Since then I have had the privilege of membership in a branch church, and also the wonderful privilege of class instruction, for which I am most grateful. I have been a member of The Mother Church since 1925. It is always a joy to study the Lesson-Sermon from the Christian Science Quarterly the first thing each morning. For having all of the Christian Science literature and our dear Leader's writings, I am most grateful, not only for myself and my husband, but that the whole world can have this wonderful truth which certainly does make us free.—(Mrs.) Gladys V. Whitaker, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.
