The study and application of Christian Science have...
The study and application of Christian Science have changed my standard of living.
About twenty years ago the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, was given to me. I knew nothing of its contents and supposed I had no need for it, so laid it aside. It was frequently said that I radiated health. Now I know that it was but a false sense of health.
A few years later physical ills appeared, and I then turned to this great revelation, asking for help from a practitioner. The social drink habit vanished at once. The so-called physical symptoms grew alarming and distressing with great loss of flesh, but I had no diagnosis. My chief desire then was for ease in matter, and I had much to learn relative to that. There were weeks and months of testing times, and only with great persistency did I gain some understanding of the Science of being and the fallacy of evil. However, I finally became as active as before. Gradually I learned that I did not need to watch the body, for all scientific healing takes place in consciousness, and that so-called disease is not disease but belief. Lumbago and acute neuritis have since been healed, and many unlovely traits of character are being corrected. Christian Science has brought harmony and assurance in times of trouble.
