It is with sincere gratitude that I testify to the healing power of Christian Science.

About ten years ago, while driving to Florida, I was taken suddenly ill with hemorrhoids, and it was necessary to stop by the roadside and get out of the car to lie down. As my wife is a student of Christian Science, I asked her to do some work for me, which she lovingly did; and while she read to me from Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, I fell asleep. When I awoke I was completely healed and was able that day to continue our trip of over four hundred miles.

Christian Science has been my only physician for the past ten years and has met my every need. I was healed of the smoking habit at a Christian Science lecture. I was also healed of the following ills of the flesh: social drinking, blood poisoning, boils, stomach trouble, a dislocated, swollen foot, and abscessed teeth. When the dentist examined the teeth he told me that unless I went to the hospital at one I could not live until morning. Some of these healings have been slow, while others have been instantaneous. For these and many other healings and demonstrations of the power of Truth I am indeed very grateful; but I am more grateful to our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, who has given us the key to this wonderful truth about God and man; to our loving practitioners; for the Reading Rooms, the lectures, and our literature, which has helped me along the road to a better understanding of God and His loving care.

This is not the only help I have had in Christian Science, for I have been healed of lack, fear, temper, and financial troubles. A wonderful position opened up to me, and after I had been associated with this firm for some time the way was made plain for me to go into business for myself. It has brought happiness, joy, and plenty. My work has given me many opportunities to learn how to give and serve, which have brought success to my associates and peace as well as contentment to my home.

I have found the great joy that comes from giving and helping others to know more about God and to trust Him. I am grateful for the spiritual uplifting that came to me during these demonstrations in Christian Science. I have also found that these proofs of God's care follow the constant study of the Bible together with Science and Health. Christian Science will never fail us if we do not fail it. I am very grateful for membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church, for class instruction, and for all other activities in Christian Science.
