In a speech reported in the Express and Star a clergyman...

Express and Star,

In a speech reported in the Express and Star a clergyman makes the statement that in the healings of Christian Science there is evidence for faith healing.

May I point out that healing, as understood in Christian Science, is not that of faith merely. Its cures are not miraculous, but are the demonstration of definite and provable rules of the divine Principle or cause governing all real effect. It lifts divine healing from the realm of mysticism and phenomenal exhibition, and proves the ever-presence of an operative, eternal law of good.

Christian Science uplifts blind faith, and teaches men the scientific government of the body through an understanding of man's relation to God.

Mrs. Eddy writes in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 243), "But the same 'Mind ... which was also in Christ Jesus' must always accompany the letter of Science in order to confirm and repeat the ancient demonstrations of prophets and apostles."
