I am very thankful for Christian Science

I am very thankful for Christian Science. It has healed me of a painful condition of one of my limbs, including skin disease. I tried many remedies. I was also treated by a doctor, who said it would take a long time to heal this condition. However, after a while when there was no sign of improvement, I became tired of using his remedies and began to use almost anything I heard of that I thought would or could heal my limb, from which I suffered day and night; but none of these remedies brought me any relief, much less healed me. By that time I was in a desperate mental state and at a loss as to what to do.

One day a friend who was a Christian Science practitioner came to see me. When she saw the condition I was in and the fear I was expressing, she asked if I would have Christian Science treatment. I had heard of this Science, but did not know anything about it; however I was willing to try anything to be healed, so she furnished me with the book, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. I immediately began to read, and after one week's reading I had gained so much of the truth that I was positive I was going to be absolutely healed. I was also convinced that I had found something I had not had before—the peace which the world cannot give.

The healing started immediately, and continued slowly until it was complete. For this healing I surely was grateful.
