About thirteen years ago an abscess appeared on the roof of my mouth. As it enlarged and became inflamed I felt something had to be done about it. I was asked to have Christian Science treatment and I went to see a practitioner, more to please the one who had asked me than to get relief. After talking with the practitioner I decided to give Christian Science a fair trial and to be obedient during this test to whatever was required of me. I was told to read "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, together with the Bible. After two weeks of treatment the condition disappeared, and during that time I received a healing of hemorrhoids of years' standing. Since this healing I have had many others, both physical and moral. I was healed of the tobacco habit and also of the use of profanity.

I am most grateful for the little understanding of God and His universe which I have received through the study of Christian Science. I wish to express gratitude for Mrs. Eddy's consecrated life, which enabled her to give the world this Science. I am grateful for membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church and for the privilege of serving in its activities. I also wish to express gratitude for the privilege of class instruction.
