Decatur, Illinois (First Church).—First Church of Christ, Scientist, at the northwest corner of West William and College Streets, was dedicated June 14, 1936, as a part of the regular Sunday morning service of the church. The new building was completed in 1931 at a cost of $90,000, but the formal dedication was deferred until the building was completely paid for. Christian Science churches never are dedicated while a debt remains against them.
