Through the many years in which I have been studying Christian Science, it has been an immeasurable help at all times and under all circumstance.

My mother first investigated Christian Science and was healed in one treatment of almost total blindness and of a stomach disorder of many years' standing. A new day dawned in our home, the medicine chest was discarded, and we relied thereafter upon Christian Science.

At my mother's invitation, I went with her to a Wednesday evening testimony meeting of a branch Church of Christ, Scientist. This meeting was held in an unpretentious hall, but I caught the light of Truth so clearly that I turned to my mother and asked if this church had a Sunday school, and if she would mind if I attended. After that Wednesday evening it never occurred to me to return to the church where I had loved singing in the choir. With this beginning, the intervening years have been profitable and sustaining ones in my experience. I have received the protection and healing of this truth from the effects of accidents and from other discordant conditions.

Unfortunately, I took up smoking. Later I had to acquire a real desire to be rid of the habit, and then I was freed from it.

The many opportunities afforded me to serve our Cause have been the means of added spiritual growth and unnumbered blessings. I am sincerely grateful to God for giving us our dear Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, who has so lighted the way that all may walk in it and receive this healing truth, Christian Science.
