My testimony is in grateful recognition of the blessings and healings that have come to me through the study and application of Christian Science.

When I was a child, and shortly after my mother had taken up the study of this truth, I was healed in less than two days' time of spinal meningitis. Healings of extreme sensitiveness, colds, measles, a scalp burn, influenza, an infected foot, ptomaine poisoning, severe pains in my neck and shoulders, and ivy poisoning are among other healings I have received. I was instantaneously healed of the need of wearing glasses. At one time a very large carbuncle appeared on my jawbone. Christian Science treatment was asked for and lovingly given, and although the carbuncle did not open, and was not lanced, it disappeared, leaving no scar, nor has another carbuncle ever appeared. A few years ago several of my ribs were broken. This condition, although a very painful one, was also completely healed in a short time, and entirely without the aid of material means.

I am most grateful, however, for more spiritualized thinking and a greater expectancy of good. I thank God for Christian Science, for class instruction, for our practitioners, for our periodicals, and for our Hymnal, which contains these words:
