The very generous allotment of your space to the report...

Visiter

The very generous allotment of your space to the report of a lecture on Christian Science given recently in the Cambridge Hall is a striking illustration of the fact that the press generally the world over is alive to the growing interest of the people in the subject of spiritual healing, as taught and practiced in Christian Science.

In view of the persistent promulgation of the scientific truths of Christian Science through many and varied avenues of approach to the human consciousness, it is not surprising that occasionally here and there a spirit of antagonism should seem to be aroused, largely, no doubt, due to a lack of appreciation of the fact that spiritual things are spiritually discerned.

Your contributor, "A man in the street," for instance, has felt a stir, so he repeats a personal attack of another critic on Mrs. Eddy. This method makes very little appeal to thoughtful men and women, though oddly enough it has persisted through the ages from the day of the stoning of Stephen until now. Sometime, somehow, "A man in the street" will awake to the consciousness of the inestimable blessing Mrs. Eddy has conferred on humanity in her great discovery of the Christ Science, and then, like countless others, he will be grateful beyond expression for her life and labors.
