In your issue of September 19, under the heading, "Letters from Times' Readers," a writer takes exception to the combining of the words "Christian" and "Science," and later makes the surprising statement that "Christian Science does not heal sickness or infirmity through faith in God.
We
read in Psalms, "The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.
When
"a certain rich man" in the parable was faced with a surplus harvest, the only remedy he could think of was to build greater barns in which to store his harvest.
Although it was only about three years ago that I first heard of Christian Science, I already have experienced many of its wonderful blessings, for which I feel I must express my profound gratitude.
