It is with deepest gratitude that I express my appreciation for all that Christian Science means to me, and does for me, day by day. I began the study of Science sixteen years ago. As the months passed, I found many faults in disposition, such as cirticism, impatience, resentment, and oversensitiveness, giving place to more love toward mankind, to charitableness, selflessness, and true courage. These discordant mental conditions disappeared proportionately to my study and application of the truth which came to me through the Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly.

A trying throat irritation was overcome by my holding to our Leader's words in "Unity of Good" (p. 60): "Christ cannot come to mortal and material sense, which sees not God. This false sense of substance must yield to His eternal presence, and so dissolve." These words have brought assurance when fears, discouragement, and a great sense of lack prevailed. By holding to the truth, I was enabled to overcome the lodgment of a small fish bone in my throat; also a lost article was returned to me, intact, after an interval of several weeks. This was accomplished by my knowing that there can be no loss in divine Mind, and that all of God's ideas express truthfulness and honesty.

I am deeply grateful for membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church. It is my joyous privilege to have had class instruction, enabling me to gain a clearer understanding and to serve more efficiently. My love and gratitude to our revered Leader, Mrs. Eddy, are indeed great. Her marvelous gift to humanity cannot be measured, for she has taught the way of permanent peace, happiness, and harmony.—(Mrs.) Lucy J. Dunnington, Elkhart, Indiana.
