Christian Science came to me at a time when I was in great need of its healing truth, and surely it has "brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God."

Our young son had passed on, due to bowel trouble and convulsions, and soon after this experience I suffered a nervous breakdown, accompanied by sleeplessness and a great fear of being left alone. After a few weeks of this torture the book "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy came into my possession. I read it eagerly, and was soon able to sleep nights, and the fear of being alone began to dissolve.

I did not realize that this healing was taking place until one morning when I awakened conscious of a joy and spiritual uplifting that I had never before experienced, and knew that I was healed of grief and sorrow.
