"Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:...
"Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases." The testimonies in our periodicals have brought me so much help and encouragement that I should like to add my voice to this great song of praise.
In Science and Health (p. 227) Mrs. Eddy says: "Citizens of the world, accept the 'glorious liberty of the children of God,' and be free! This is your divine right. The illusion of material sense, not divine law, has bound you, entangled your free limbs, crippled your capacities, enfeebled your body, and defaced the tablet of your being." The study of this passage and the realization that God's child could not be deceived by an illusion, recently brought me quick release. One of my knees had become swollen and very painful, and I could not straighten it out sufficiently to place my entire foot on the floor. In two days I was able without difficulty to take a long walk through woods and swamp, entirely free and rejoicing in "the 'glorious liberty of the children of God.'"
I am very grateful for the help and protection my boys have received through attendance at a Christian Science Sunday School. Several years ago one of the boys brought a note home from school stating that his eyes were in a very poor condition. This was soon followed by a visit from the school nurse, who said he must have glasses or he would be absolutely unable to do his work. I assured her that the condition would be taken care of. This was in the spring, and the next fall when he returned to school and the customary examinations were made, his vision was marked very satisfactory and has continued so.
