"Church of Christ, Scientist" refers to the Christian Science...

Irvington Review

"Church of Christ, Scientist" refers to the Christian Science church founded by Mary Baker Eddy. She gave the name, Christian Science, to her religion, and that name has been identified with her church for more than fifty years. A Church of Christ, Scientist, however, is never officially designated as a "Christian Science Church" or "Evangelical," but always "Church of Christ, Scientist." The Church established by Mrs. Eddy is entitled "The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts."

All authorized churches are branches of this Church. In Indianapolis there are five such branches, styled and incorporated as First, Second, Third, Fourth, and Fifth, Churches of Christ, Scientist, Indianapolis.

The public is entitled to know the difference between these authorized churches and others that might trade upon the name.
