Over twenty years ago there was published in the Christian Science Sentinel my testimony of the healing of chronic and incurable organic disorders. My infancy and childhood had been one of invalidism. Doctors, though lovingly doing all that they could, offered no hope for the future, but declared that I had the nervous system of a six footer in the form of a child, and naturally should always be a sufferer.

The purpose of this testimony is joyfully to bear witness to the truth that the healing, through Christian Science, which I experienced in November, 1901, while reading the chapter on Prayer in the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, has been permanent. Normal action of organs which had never acted normally was brought about. From that day to this I have used no drugs, nor have I needed any, for slowly but surely strength, health, vitality, took the place of pain, weakness, and debility.

Trials and tribulations have come during the thiry-five years, but sometimes it is through these testing times that there is developed within us the spiritual insight which leads to divine heights of pure spiritual peace and proves the truth of the words of our textbook (p. 66), "Trials are proofs of God's care."
