I wish to express my deep gratitude for Christian Science and for all it has done for our family during the last fifteen years.

In the year 1919 our baby passed on, in spite of every material aid. This was in the late winter. In the fall the other son was taken very ill, with a very high fever. We were much frightened, and having lost all faith in medicine we decided to try Christian Science. Acting upon the advice of a friend, we called a practitioner, who, finding we knew nothing of Christian Science, recommended that she come to our home. After hours of questions and answers, we were told to look at the child. He was sleeping peacefully, breathing freely, and had no fever; in fact, he was healed. We have never ceased to be grateful to that dear practitioner for opening our eyes to this blessed truth.

Afterwards this son had tuberculosis of the hip, which shortened one leg almost two inches, causing a decided limp. While we were having help for this from a practitioner, it came to me one day, while reading of the raising of Lazarus, that I needed to "loose" this child and "let him go." From this time on there was steady improvement. About four years later he joined the navy, receiving a very high physical rating.
