Under the heading of "Questions and Answers" in your esteemed paper appeared the following: "Question: Is Christian Science built on the Bible or has it anything in common with spiritualism?" With regard to the answer, given by your paper, I beg to offer a few facts with a friendly request for publicity.

On page 497 of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, are found certain important points or Tenets on which the teachings of Christian Science are based, and from these I quote as follows: "As adherents of Truth, we take the inspired Word of the Bible as our sufficient guide to eternal Life." "We acknowledge and adore one supreme and infinite God. We acknowledge His Son, one Christ; the Holy Ghost or divine Comforter; and man in God's image and likeness." "And we solemnly promise to watch, and pray for that Mind to be in us which was also in Christ Jesus; to do unto others as we would have them do unto us; and to be merciful, just, and pure."

In addition to prayers and hymn singing, the principle part of the services in Christian Science churches is reading alternately from the Bible and the above-mentioned textbook, the mere title of which containing the expression, "Key to the Scriptures," gives full evidence that its teaching is based on the Bible.
