Until I was nearly ten years old I was always ailing, suffered frequent bilious attacks, and was often taking medicines for so-called "children's complaints." Then I was sent to a Christian Science Sunday School, and, as the next few years went by, I gradually became a normally healthy girl. The attacks of sickness became less frequent, until they finally disappeared, as did a tendency to develop unsightly and painful boils.

On one occasion my head was covered with running sores, but two treatments by a Christian Science practitioner completely healed me. Coughs and colds have been quickly overcome through my own understanding of God's allness, while a severe attack of influenza yielded to a single treatment by a practitioner.

I find that this Science is a protection from disease, especially from those diseases which mankind calls contagious. A sweet sense of the ever-presence of divine Love, that "underneath are the everlasting arms," has been my protection many times, both in the home and on the road when riding on the pillion of a motor cycle.
