I am unable to express in words my gratitude for a healing...

I am unable to express in works my gratitude for a healing of the results of a fall down a flight of stairs in an office building in which I was attending to some business. I was unaware of having fallen, also of being picked up by office employees, who wished to take me to the rest room. I at once declared audibly that I was unhurt, not realizing what had taken place. I went directly to friends about a block away who, seeing my condition, cared for me and telephoned members of my family. I realized for a few moments that something was wrong and arose and telephoned to a friend, saying that I was in need of help, as an accident must have taken place. This friend told me next day that he had just been reading from our revised Hymnal, and these words came to him from hymn No. 412:

"O dreamer, leave thy dreams for joyful waking,
O captive, rise and sing, for thou art free."

Great fear was expressed by some members of the family and friends that my face might be disfigured and my sight impaired. The company in whose office I had fallen offered every assistance in the form of doctors and nurses, but their offers were not accepted. My daughter cared for me, and we spent a very joyous time together reading and studying, holding steadfastly to Mrs. Eddy's words in Science and Health (p. 259), "perfect God and perfect man,—as the basis of thought and demonstration." In two weeks' time there were no marks or scars to be seen.

I have been healed of rheumatism of about two years' duration. The trouble started in my knees, and I became very lame and had to be assisted in and out of bed. The trouble finally reached my hands, and it became impossible for me even to dress without assistance, but by holding steadfastly to the truth, as taught in Christian Science, I was healed. The following passages from Science and Health (pp. 181, 188) were of great assistance: "Mind, God, is the source and condition of all existence." "What is termed disease does not exist."

For these and other healings I am more grateful than I can express; grateful to our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, for through her teachings the infinite power of divine Mind is being understood and demonstrated; also for the privilege of class instruction.—(Mrs.) Adeline Wilson Hambly, Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada.
