Before I became interested in Christian Science, hardly a winter passed that I did not have an attack of tonsillitis. I had been confined to my bed as long as ten days at a time under medical treatment. Shortly after I took up the study of Christian Science this form of error presented itself. I did not seem able to handle the argument myself and called on a practitioner for assistance. At the end of three days I was back at my office completely healed. This demonstration took place over ten years ago, and I have not been thus incapacitated since.
Another marvelous proof of the efficacy of Christian Science in healing physical difficulties came when our younger son was bitten in the face by an angry dog. As we were quite fearful, we called a practitioner for help. The recovery was rapid, there were no aftereffects, and there is not even a vestige of a scar on the child's face. In our family we have had healings of a broken nose, chronic stomach trouble, arthritis, a small growth on a hand, warts, measles, whooping cough, croup, pink eye, influenza, and many other difficulties.
Not only am I very grateful for all these proofs of God's omnipotence, but also for membership in The Mother Church, as well as for the privilege of the activities of membership in a branch church.
