I wish to express my deep gratitude for Christian Science. I have received many healings, some of which have been from deafness, influenza, and gastric influenza; I have also experienced painless extraction of a tooth and protection from accidents.

For a long time I suffered from stomach trouble and was afraid to eat. One day a practitioner said, "The divine Love that gives man food gives you the ability to eat and digest it." I worked with this thought and was healed. One morning I awoke with a very stiff neck and severe pains at the back of my head. I asked a Christian Scientist friend for help, which was lovingly given, but the pains continued for about a week. Then, one night, the suggestion came to me to use a material remedy, but I rejected it, knowing that as Christian Science had pulled me through before, it would now. The next morning all pain and stiffness had gone. At another time I obtained employment after I had overcome self-pity because I had no business experience and consequently no business reference. When I realized that nothing could interfere with God's plan for me, fear was healed and I obtained work immediately.

I am very grateful to God; to the Way-shower, Christ Jesus; to Mrs. Eddy; and to all the faithful practitioners of Christian Science, especially to one who stood by me while I was going through many deep waters. I am deeply thankful for the lectures and also for our literature.
