I wish to express my appreciation and gratitude for Christian Science and for all the good that has been brought to the consciousness of a weary world through the unselfish efforts of our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy.

When one of my sons was four years old, he tripped on a rug while running and went face down on the floor, striking his wrist on the corner of a footstool. He screamed out with pain and as I picked him up it was very evident that a bone in the wrist was broken. I held him in my arms, declaring out loud that God never makes anything to hurt His children, and that God's ideas cannot be hurt. I knew that nothing is impossible with God, and that "in Science, no breakage nor dislocation can really occur," as Mrs. Eddy states in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 402). I was alone at the time, and my thought was so clear about the truth of man's perfection, and the child's thought was so receptive, that in twenty minutes he asked to get down and play. I set him down, never doubting, and without another look at the wrist went about my work. The healing was complete.
