It has been my privilege to see a great many wonderful healings in Christian Science. In my own experience the one that has meant the most to me was the healing of a goiter. I was living in a part of the country in which that condition was supposed to be very prevalent. It was not a quick healing. In a moment of discouragement one day I said that the condition just seemed to move from one place to another. My mother had been working with me on the problem, and she very quickly corrected my thought with the statement that has helped me many times since then: "That is fine. It shows that error has no abiding place." I do not know just when the healing occurred, but it was complete and overcame my false belief in the power error would claim to wield in certain locations.

A friend, whom I had not seen for several years, noticed the change at once and looked to see if there was any evidence of an operation having been performed. I was most grateful to be able to assure her that it was the result of the operation of Truth.

I have had many very quick healings in Christian Science. Occasionally, when I hear others who depend on material means describe their experiences with sprains and colds, I compare them with healings I have had in Christian Science of similar difficulties, and realize how quick and permanent my healings have been.
