Without truth there can be no bond of unity. Anything less than truth-speaking and truth-dealing means disloyalty to that sacred tie of fellowship which ... men have with one another. Where Christians are concerned beyond others is in this, that of all fellowships Christian fellowship ought to be and can be the finest and best. And it is along the path of truthfulness, when truth is spoken, not harsly and unfeelingly, but "in love," that St. Paul sees Christian fellowship reaching its end, as Christians grow up into Christ.
