Consolation

Think not because we cannot see
His form so dear,
Love failed us here;
In Mind no separation can there be,
God's children dwell in Love's eternity.

The God-inspired thoughts he loved to give
By word and deed,
To those in need,
Conveyed the healing truth, so positive,
That weary ones could grasp that truth and live.

Just as the golden rays of dawn foretell
The day is near,
Love casts out fear;
The consciousness of love in which we dwell
Reveals the truth that with him all is well.

Still guided on by Love's correcting rod
Toward the light
That grows more bright;
He is not there beneath the grassy sod,
But living in the presence of his God.
