The Lectures

Introductions to Lectures

Spokane, Washington (Second Church).

Lecturer: Judge Frederick C. Hill; introduced by Mrs. Goldie M. Morris, who said:—

It was during the World War, when in great need of comfort and healing, that I became interested in Christian Science because of the protection and peace it offers. My healing of fear and worry came instantly through a realization of man's oneness with God, and restored me to happiness and usefulness. Mrs. Eddy tells us (Science and Health, p. 200), "The great truth in the Science of being, that the real man was, is, and ever shall be perfect, is incontrovertible; for if man is the image, reflection, of God, he is neither inverted nor subverted, but upright and Godlike." Christian Science teaches how to see and know this reality of man's being; and faithful students are rewarded by glimpses of God's beautiful spiritual creation; they are healed of bodily ills, and made hopeful, joyous, and satisfied.
