Signs of the Times

Going down by the ancient road, across Jordan, and across the plain of Armageddon, ... which had been wet with human blood, Jesus must have caught a vision of the conflict before him. He felt the increasing hostility of the priests and the Pharisees, and he knew the final conflict was upon him.

Even at the time he set his face steadfastly toward Jerusalem he had a clear vision of all that destiny held for him. At the time of his triumphal entry into the Holy City, a seemingly victorious event ... he saw at the end of the week the cross, and beyond that the crown of the resurrection.
