Twenty-two years ago I became interested in Christian Science...

Twenty-two years ago I became interested in Christian Science through a very dear friend, who also made me a present of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. In studying its wonderful teaching I have found out what our Master meant when he said, "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." I have often had a desire to make public what Christian Science has done for me, though it would be impossible to tell of all the blessings I have received. I did not come to this Science because of the need for any physical healing, although I have had many healings, some through the help of practitioners.

I have been healed of fear of tumor, of influenza, lumbago, sore throat, colds, and headaches. My husband was instantaneously healed of blood poisoning and hay fever. We have had many other ailments which have been permanently healed through the application of this wonderful truth. But I am most grateful for the protective power and the spiritual uplifting which the reading and study of our Lesson-Sermons give to us.

We have had many marvelous experiences and demonstrations of how "divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need" (Science and Health, p. 494). I am exceedingly grateful for all the loving practitioners and friends; for membership in The Mother Church and a branch church; for the privilege of serving in a small way in this great movement; and also for the lectures and the literature, which are so full of help and inspiration. I am most grateful to God for our beloved Leader, for her purity, unselfishness, and loving work for mankind. My earnest desire is so to live that my life may prove me worthy of our Cause.—(Mrs.) Huldah E. Ross, Brooklyn, New York.
