In a recent issue of your paper there are quotations from a sermon by a minister, which include several misstatements about the teachings of Christian Science with regard to Christ Jesus. I shall be glad if you will allow me a little space in your columns to correct these confused statements, both for the sake of the general public, and also for the benefit of my friend, who, having honestly stated what he believed to be true, will with equal honesty be glad to have his misconceptions cleared up.

Among the religious Tenets of the Christian Science church is included the following in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy (p. 497): "We acknowledge and adore one supreme and infinite God. We acknowledge His Son, one Christ; the Holy Ghost or divine Comforter; and man in God's image and likeness."

No Christian people have more reverence for the Master than the members of the Christian Science church. They recognize with deep love and gratitude his supreme sacrifice in the crucifixion, as well as his glorious resurrection and ascension. To them he is the Way-shower, the great Exemplar, of whom they should all strive to be humble followers. Mrs. Eddy, in her Message to The Mother Church for 1901 (p. 34), enjoined her followers, "Follow your Leader only so far as she follows Christ."
