May I supplement what you said in your issue of November 17 about the Christian Science teaching concerning God and matter?
Christian Science teaches that the one God, all-powerful, ever present, ever active, and incorporeal, is infinite Spirit. Reasoning from these premises, Christian Scientists conclude logically that matter, the opposite of Spirit, is nothing. These statements are in full accord with Jesus' words, "It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing."
The testimony of the material senses may disagree with the teachings of this religion, but all men and women have seen how deceptive the senses may be. For instance, many people have been deceived on the railroad when they have believed that their own train was starting, while, in fact, it was standing still, and another at its side was moving.
