Christian Scientists are most grateful for the proof that recognition is growing in other churches of the fact that the power of the healing Christ is still available and that God heals the sick as of old.

In "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" Mrs. Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, writes on page 55, "The time for the reappearing of the divine healing is throughout all time; and whosoever layeth his earthly all on the altar of divine Science, drinketh of Christ's cup now, and is endued with the spirit and power of Christian healing." Divine healing and spiritual healing, as understood and practiced by Christian Scientists, are the same thing; both have their source in God, who, the Bible tells us, is Spirit.

Throughout all ages, even before the advent of Christ Jesus, there have been individuals who have healed through divine power (as many Old Testament stories show), but it has been left for Christian Science to lay down and teach the rules governing this healing, and thus make it available to all, for "God is no respecter of persons." And Christian Scientists are proving beyond dispute all the world over that when the rules, as taught in the Christian Science textbook, are obeyed, healing is inevitable.
