Nine years ago I was in need of healing of a broken neck bone and a dislocated shoulder. Also I was not able to use my left arm to any advantage. I had taken chiropractic treatments for some time, and then was told I should never be able to go back to my work as a railroad brakeman. But thanks to God, the Giver of all good, my wife said that there was help for me in Christian Science. She told me about a little girl who had been healed through this Science, and that the practitioner on the case lived in our locality. I decided to give it a trial; and an appointment was made with that practitioner. On my first visit she told me about God, and I accepted the words with joy. On my way home I had much to think about, for these new thoughts about God, and the kindness shown me by the practitioner, had impressed me deeply. I went to bed, and for the first time in several weeks slept well. After sleeping twelve hours I awakened feeling like a new man. I told the practitioner that I was much better, and that now my desire was to go back to work. I was told, "Whatever it is your duty to do, you can do without harm to yourself" (Science and Health, p. 385). I went to work that same night, healed and happy. I have been so grateful for all this, as well as for other healings, and for church membership.—William A. Eichner, Toledo, Ohio.
