From early youth I had a desire to understand the Scriptures, and would often read the Bible with a hungering to know God. About twenty years ago I became a member of a Protestant church, and we placed our two small sons in the Sunday school. In this church we learned to love the Bible, even though we did not understand it, or get the spiritual food to sustain us in times of sickness and trouble. In time we drifted away from the church.

Nevertheless, the desire to find God was still in our hearts, and while we were visiting a friend one day we were told about Christian Science. We bought a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, and began to read, and from the first we saw that this book contained what we needed and had been looking for. We placed our two sons in this Sunday school, and since then Christian Science has been a joy that nothing can take from us.

By a daily study of this wonderful teaching, with the help of the Christian Science Bible Lessons, we have gained an understanding of the Scriptures that has brought great comfort and blessings in our home. Many evidences of God's protecting care have been demonstrated. We have been saved from accidents while driving on the highways, and have gained more confidence and courage to carry on our business. I have been healed of a dislocated toe, a slight burn from a gas explosion, and sorrow when a loved one passed on. My husband was healed of lumbago and acute indigestion.
