It is with deep gratitude and joy that I submit this testimony, because for a period of eleven years I have been receiving the wonderful blessings that come from faithfully applying the truths found in the Bible and spiritually interpreted in the Christian Science textbook and the other writings of our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy.

When I first heard of Christian Science I was in a very unhappy frame of mind due to domestic troubles. The condition seemed so hopeless from a human viewpoint that life was almost unbearable. I prayed earnestly to a God I thought I understood, but conditions remained the same. One day while I was out for a drive with some friends, one of them noticed how unhappy I was. It was then that Christian Science was presented to me. This friends assured me that if I would give it a fair trial it would bring me happiness far greater than the happiness that I thought I had lost.

A letter was written to a practitioner in a distant city, who lovingly began to work for me; a copy of Science and Health was purchased; and from that hour conditions began to adjust themselves with surprising rapidity, until much greater happiness than I could have thought possible was the lasting result. I am grateful that through this healing many undesirable traits of character, such as a bad temper, suspicion, and jealousy, and many other phases of wrong thinking, were corrected.
