To signalize in a simple and appropriate manner the progress of Christian Science as demonstrated in the erection and occupation of the new Christian Science Publishing House in Boston, the Trustees under the Will of Mary Baker Eddy have authorized the publication of a Progress Edition of the pocket-size textbook, to be placed on sale September 15, 1933.
The new edition has a title page in two colors, exhibiting new typographic treatment. The Comprehensive Index to the Marginal Headings appears in the back of the book, as in the Students' Edition of the textbook. The morocco covers of the new edition have an entirely new finish—a stippled antique grain which imparts a soft, rich effect. The color is a warm autumn brown, with which the leather linings and end papers are in harmony. Those who have seen copies of the new edition pronounce this the most beautiful edition of the textbook that has been published.
The Progress Edition is printed on Oxford India Bible paper, bound in morocco as described above, limp, round corners, gilt edges, uniform in size with the regular pocket edition of the textbook, and priced the same—namely, single copy $5.00; quantity rate for six or more copies to one address, each $4.75.
